How we approach new client conversations
Initial conversation
We'll have a direct conversation — by phone or video — about your organization, your legislative priorities, and what you're hoping to accomplish. No sales process. No junior staff. The principal is on that first call.
Fit assessment
Shorepine is selective about who we represent. If we don't think we're the right fit, we'll tell you directly — and we may be able to recommend someone who is. If there's a fit, we'll discuss what engagement looks like.
Engagement structure
We work on annual retainers. If we move forward, we'll outline the engagement structure, scope, and what you can expect from us — and from yourself — throughout the relationship.
Shorepine maintains a small book of two to three active clients. If we're at capacity, we'll let you know — and we'll keep your information on file for when capacity opens.
